The University of Moratuwa's Student Request Management System streamlines academic processes amid the Covid-19 pandemic. It enables students to submit requests, view their status, and respond, while academic staff can review, approve, decline, or request information, with efficient filtering options and consolidated comment threads.
This project served as our team's inaugural experience in web application development. The system provided a digital platform for students and academic staff to seamlessly manage academic requests, ensuring a smooth workflow during the challenging times imposed by the pandemic. The utilization of HTML, Bootstrap, CSS, PHP, and MySQL showcases our commitment to employing a comprehensive technology stack for effective solution development.

Secure Sign-Up
Students and Lecturers can can easily register for the application by filling out a form that includes essential details. The system verifies and saves the information in the database, and upon completion. And Admin has to confirm their Sign-Up.
Send Student Requests
Under the "Student Requests" students can request their requirements under type;
Students View Requests
The system allows students to view the requests they made to the lecturers and the corresponding responses in the same thread. The sent requests are sorted in the newest modified request and student can sort them accordingly.
Lecturers Viwe Requests
lectureres can view the students request when they are click on the coresponding requests the requests. And requests are default sort in newest request but lectureres can sort them accordingly.
Lecturers Submit Responses
Lecturers can send their responses with the type;
Change Profile
The system facilitates users to modify their profile details post-login, encompassing various information such as name, address, email, password, etc. Users can seamlessly update and manage their personal information for accurate and up-to-date profiles.
Admin View Users
The system offers an admin function allowing the viewing of users and enabling password resets. Admins can efficiently manage user accounts, ensuring security and access control.
View requests From Users
Admins can conveniently view requests, including login and password reset requests, directly within the dashboard. This feature streamlines administrative oversight and enhances efficiency in handling user-related inquiries.
Admin Can Accept New Users.
The system empowers admins to view unconfirmed users and grants them permission to accept or approve these users. This functionality ensures administrators can manage user registrations effectively and control access to the system.
